Designed with flexibility in mind, the NCR 7780 allows you to choose the exact combination of features to suit your precise remittance processing requirements. Depending on your needs, you can choose either 300 or 500 dpm models.

NCR 7780 Overview

Straight-line, open track provides increased reliability, and helps operators find and remove jammed documents. Fiber-optic sensors and quick-release mechanisms facilitate jam recovery.
Thermal encoder prints 16 character amount fields at 100 documents per minute (dpm). The optional high-speed module uses impact technology to encode at 400 dpm.
Programmable endorser prints fully programmable audit trail. Dual line rear endorser prints up to 235 dpm. Can print standard-sized, expanded, or compressed characters. Optional single line front endorser prints one line of standard characters at up to 225 dpm.
The optional high-speed, ink-jet endorser (front and rear) can be programmed to print up to four lines of standard characters or simulated endorsements and bank stamps at up to 500 dpm.
Rotary stamps available in rear only or front-and-rear configuration.
Pockets are sequential, acoustically dampened, and hold 250 to 300 documents. Can expand up to 40 pockets (in 4-pocket increments).
Three image capture options are available: upstream where reading occurs; downstream after encoding and endorsing; or both.

Holds up to 1,200 of varying heights, lengths and widths.

NCR 7780 AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS

In addition to the 300 or 500 dpm models, several available configurations make the 7780 one of the most versatile transports available on the market. The NCR 7780 can be ordered in a "sit-down" or a "stand-up" (5 inches higher) configuration, which places the work area at the optimal height for the operator.

Choice of Features

Document Feeder Module

Automatic document feeder: holds up to 1,200 documents, 4.75 in. to 8.88 in. long; straight-line document feeding provides reliable performance.

Independent Hand-drop: independent track, lets operator hand-feed control documents while auto-feeding associated stacks.

Optional Merge Hopper: The optional merge hopper holds approximately 250 documents. It can feed one at a time to merge with documents from the standard autofeed hopper, injecting documents as required by the application.

Optional "Higher-Performance Hopper": The Higher-Performance Hopper holds 2,500 documents and incorporates improved feed mechanics, double-feed detect technology, integrated merge hopper and short item outsort bin

Reader Module

MICR reader: reads one line of MICR characters (E-13B or CMC 7 font).

OCR reader (optional): reads one line of OCR characters, ten different fonts (up to three per document).

Code line display camera (optional): captures video image of code line only, for correcting characters on screen or enhancing MICR reader accuracy.

Image Module

Provides same MICR capability as reader module, with enhanced OCR capability (1 to 3 lines) as an option. Imaging hardware captures, digitizes, compresses and transmits document images (front image only, or front and rear).
High-Speed Programmable Endorser

Fast, quiet, ink-jet printer prints up to 500 documents per minute; 1 to 4 lines of standard-sized characters or 1 to 2 lines of double-sized; uses graphics characters to emulate impact or roll-on stamps, eliminating the need to switch plates for different applications. Choose rear-printing only, or rear and front.
Pocket Modules

Each pocket module contains four pockets, typically holding over 300 documents each. Optional lister printers can be provided for each pocket. Each 7780 can have up to ten pocket modules (forty pockets). A switch on each module lets operators start and stop the transport without walking back to the keyboard.
